About Us
Scott Edgecombe -ACTRA/SAG-AFTRA
Scott grew up a teacher and an actor. By 15 he was designing improv course for kids. He spent a good part of his 20’s and 30’s as a celebrity nanny to pay the bills while auditioning and working!
No matter what his ambition was, his gift was working with kids and adults in classrooms, passing on his love for creating. Upon meeting his kindred acting spirit (Grant), seeing how they shared a passion for the craft and the desire to share this passion, he made it his goal to open a professional arts studio in Huntsville.
Over his time in the entertainment industry, Scott spent 2 years in NYC and 15 years in LA where he worked in film, television,(in front of and behind the camera) as well as on stage. During his “spare” time in LA, he earned a Double Honours Degree in Child & Adolescent Development and Religious Studies while also volunteering as the Program Director and Leadership Camp programmer for Camp Laurel, a not-for-profit for families living with AIDS/HIV.
He returned to Toronto in 2009 and has since appeared in over 50 television and film projects all while working as a reader for several Canadian casting directors including RDC Casting, Diane Kerbel Casting, Forrest and Forrest Casting Inc., Deirdre Bowen Casting Inc., Tina Gerussi Casting, and Clark & Page Casting Studio (BC). Over the past ten years, he has logged over 10,000 hours “in the room” working on some of the biggest productions shooting in Toronto, and has auditioned almost every union actor in the province.
With over 35 years of experience in the industry in both Canada and the US as well as almost two decades of training with industry professionals in Toronto, NYC and LA, Scott offers a unique perspective on both acting and the business surrounding it.
Scott can next be seen in upcoming independent films SHOOK, and A BREED APART.
